Score Cards - Performance

Understanding Score Cards

Score Cards is your home for provider performance data. Instead of piecing together numbers from Reports, Collections, and Calls, Score Cards puts everything about a provider's output and productivity in one card.

In the Performance view, you'll find it in the left navigation under Score Cards, with two views:

Dentists
Hygienists

Choosing a time period

At the top of the page, you can either:

Pick a custom date range using the calendar selector, or
Click one of the quick-select month buttons (the current month plus the prior 12+ months)

All the data on the page, both team averages and individual provider cards, updates to reflect the period you select.

Team Averages

Right below the date selector, you'll see four cards summarizing your whole team's performance for the selected month:

Metric	What it tells you
NET Production	Total production across all providers, after adjustments and write-offs
Production / Hour	Average production generated per hour worked, across the team
Production / Visit	Average production generated per patient visit
Production / Day	Average production generated per day worked

Each metric shows the previous month's figure right beside it, so you can see whether your practice is trending up or down without needing to check a separate report.

Provider cards

Below Team Averages, each provider gets their own card. Cards are organized into four sections:

Time

Days Worked: Number of days the provider had at least one appointment in the selected period
Hours Worked: Total scheduled hours worked

Activity

Appointments: Total appointments completed
Patients: Total unique patients seen
Procedures: Total procedures performed

Each activity metric is shown alongside the previous month's number, so you can quickly see if a provider's volume is growing or shrinking.

Per-Unit Production

Production / Hour: Production divided by hours worked
Production / Visit: Production divided by number of visits
Production / Day: Production divided by days worked

These metrics are especially useful for comparing efficiency between providers, even if they work very different schedules. A provider who works fewer hours but has strong production per hour is often just as valuable to the practice as one who works more hours overall.

Financials

Gross Production: Total production before any deductions
Adjustments: Reductions applied to production (shown with a warning icon when present)
Write-offs: Amounts written off, often tied to insurance contracts
NET Production: Final production after adjustments and write-offs (shown with a checkmark), with the previous month's NET Production for comparison

Reading provider specialties

Each provider's card shows their specialty under their name (for example, General, Perio, or Ortho). This helps you compare performance within the same specialty rather than across very different types of care.
